THE END OF THE WORLD
James Doyle | 27 March 2017

The end of the world

Visions of the Earth’s inevitable demise

Whispers, echoes, a fadeout Some believe we will go out fighting

But I believe in the silence

No funeral, no memories

Just blackness

Consuming all, like a plague

No fire

No ice

This is what we are

This is what we’ll become

And, in the end, that’s all we will deserve

Like a candle, snuffed out

Alone and silent.
